BROWARD COALITION ON AGING MEETING: THURSDAY, JANUARY 8

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL – Broward Coalition on Aging (BCOA) meets on Thursday, January 8, 7:45 a.m., at Garden Plaza at Inverrary, 4251 Rock Island Road, Lauderhill.

The January meeting features guest speaker Mary Ann Watson, RN, CHTP, CMI, CQHP. Watson is CEO of LightVisions, Inc., a company focused on holistic health care. The topic of discussion will be “The Art of Caring for You,” a program designed for caregivers. Watson is a certified oncology nurse, healing touch practitioner, and motivational speaker. She is currently Outreach Education Coordinator, for Hospice by the Sea. Previously she was a clinical oncology nurse and case manager at Holy Cross Cancer Center.

Broward Coalition on Aging is a countywide networking group of business professionals and service providers who work with the senior population. Members include geriatric care managers, social workers, elder care attorneys, home health and homemaker-companion agencies, and executives of assisted living facilities, rehab and skilled nursing care facilities, and nonprofit organizations that provide services and resources for seniors. Meetings are free and open to the public.
